Maybe it’s because our granddaughter Alina’s 6th birthday is coming up that I’m reminded of how time stood still as we excitedly welcomed her into our family in December 2019...holding our breath as she drew closer, watching as the brothers experienced gently holding her and then getting my turn at that unforgettable first hug.
